Whole section analysis can be a valuable approach in many applications of disease areas in neurological research, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis. Both brightfield and fluorescent approaches are valuable, and investigating multiple planes (often called stereology) is frequently employed. Below are some examples employing histology pattern recognition and image analysis quantitation, we are interested in trying more applications, particularly in less common disorders.
