Position Summary

The Analyst II, under limited supervision, is responsible for the delivery of analytical services through direct task completion and project management focused on the analysis workflow, to include: generation of images, performance of image analysis related tasks, development of new techniques and procedures, dispersal of project components to appropriate cross-departmental resources, providing feedback to drive project goals, and management of analysis related project workflow. Analyst II may also be responsible for direct Program Management as suitable projects are presented to team management.

Job Classification – Full time, exempt

Reports to –  Senior tIA Manager or Associate tIA Manager

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop working knowledge of Flagship’s proprietary image analysis algorithms
  • Contribute to design and implementation of image analysis strategies, including assessment of materials for image analysis development
  • Perform image analysis with Flagship’s digital toolkit
  • Data extraction and modification of results obtained from Flagship’s toolkit
  • Manage analysis related project workflow, to include: project development, image annotation and analysis, development of image analysis solutions, data organization, scientific reporting, software administration, interactive communication with clients and third party organizations
  • Participate in and contribute to image analysis team meetings, and Flagship’s continuing education and training programs
  • Develop and test theories
  • Fulfill roles in partnership with other department teams to drive projects forward, to include: interdepartmental communication, client communication, project planning and project adaptability. Review current IA tools, methods, and techniques under a critical lens to identify and recommend improvement opportunities
  • Serve as project Lead Analyst or Program Manager, as assigned
  • Guide training of other Analysts and company resources
  • Provide image generation, hosting, and annotations
  • Other tasks and projects, as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and
  • 2-4 years of relevant professional work experience
  • Solid computer skills and ability to learn new software applications/systems quickly
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy to ensure high quality standards are consistently met
  • Ability to work effectively in a very fast-paced, changing environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Quick learner with good judgment and problem solving skills
  • Upbeat attitude, adaptable, and drive to learn
  • Project management and organization skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computational Biology
  • Experience with life sciences technology, image analysis, data science, and/or regulatory programs
  • Working knowledge of R scripting and implementation and/or other data mining tools/techniques
  • Prior research experience
  • Previous working experience with image analysis tools/techniques
  • Professional experience within a highly technical environment
